"Family Lyceum is the perfect blend of homeschooling and traditional classroom format for us. My kids love going. They love their friends, teachers, lessons, field trips, and activities. We love the parental involvement necessary and encouraged to run the school. This isn't a school to just send your kids to and never hear anything about, or be involved with, what they're learning or experiencing. This is a school to send your kids to if you want to, or are already, a homeschool family and you want your kids to have classroom experience as well. My kids have made wonderful friends. But they also are learning lots extra things that can be hard to get to in a homeschool curriculum. We love it, our kids love it, and we highly recommend." -Cassie "I love the gentle, individual approach to learning. I love the small class sizes. I like the fact that these kids think it is COOL and FUN to be educated." -Celena |

"I appreciate the small class sizes at the Lyceum and groups based on skill not necessarily age. The small classes help my student feel connected to the mentors and to the other students in the program. The way that groups are created and basing them on skill and not necessarily on age allows students to work with other students who are learning similar things, regardless of age. I also appreciate that I know who my kids mentors are and we are connecting with them and that the values that these mentors hold dear are values I also hold dear for my family." -Amoryn

"I appreciate the atmosphere. My kids love learning and they are always excited to share what they learned at school when I pick them up." -Amanda
"I appreciate the small class sizes. Teachers are able to teach out of the public school box which has been great for [my student]. I don't know exactly how the teachers teach, but [my student] loves school and he hated hated school before." -Jennie |
"I am the kind of mom who wants to do it herself...but not really all by myself. I need mentors, encouragement and breaks, and so do our children. Family Lyceum is the answer for our family to homeschool successfully because it has just the right amount of social time for us and gives me a couple days per week to spend with my babies and keep our family life in order. I love the focus on helping our entire family becoming well educated through motivating books and activities and staying united. Love this school!!!" -Robyn
"I appreciate how much my daughter learns and the things she is taught. I appreciate the kindness and communication with all the teachers and staff." -Amy |
"I love the support I receive through weekly informative emails, field trips, and more knowledgeable teachers than myself instructing my children. I love the balance between flexibility and structure found only at Family Lyceum. We have structure and consistency to foster progress, but there is grace allowed and rabbit hole adventures are encouraged. Family Lyceum does not answer to a state or federal entity with an agenda where grades, tests, and attendance are strictly adhered to. I love that my children are surrounded by good kids, with good parents, which creates a wholesome classroom culture." -Alexis

"I love the structure Family Lyceum gives our homeschool! It provides a basic outline for the year with carefully chosen monthly reads. Meeting twice a week is ideal for us because it gives me enough time to focus on skills (math, spelling, etc.) at home going at the pace my child needs and time with a group where they engage in inspiring hands-on activities with friends. It really is designed to support families in the crazy adventure we call homeschooling!" -Val
